Blurb
I met his brother first—while trying to avoid mine.
By the time the agoraphobic, unhinged, and musically-gifted Grayson James came crashing into my life, I was deeply infatuated with his elder sibling.
But that didn’t stop him from ruining everything.
He stole something that wasn’t his to have.
Something I hadn’t known I was giving him.
After realizing he was unsatisfied with that little taste, he wanted more.
Wanted me.
Now, he’s asked me to keep him company while he hides out in his family’s rustic, mountainside estate.
Blackmailed me really.
Unfortunately, I need the money.
The escape.
It’s not like I have much of a choice.
Grayson is determined to keep me around, as if my presence will assist him in rediscovering his passions.
And perhaps unmask a few dark ones of my own.
Liars and Liaisons is the sixth and final interconnected standalone in the Monsters & Muses series. It is a dark romance inspired by the Pan and Echo myths and contains material that may not be suitable for all audiences. Reader discretion is advised.

Overall Rating
4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Liars and Liaisons is the last book in the Monsters & Muses series! I’m sad to see this series go but I have loved this journey! Grayson and Violet’s story starts off one way and then pulls you in the complete opposite! Buckle up and go where Queen Sav takes you lol I liked this book so much and I honestly should not be surprised. The couple’s journey plus the spice and vivid imagery in L&L was riveting!
Violet is a plant lady through and through! Count on her to be covered in dirt and caring for something green when you see her. In past books, where we had only seen Violet from Kal’s perspective which made her seem very standoffish and cold. I was pleasantly surprised to meet her for real! Violet is bright and fun and so sweet. I was so happy to see Kal play a significant role in this book and to get the scoop on what’s really going on with the half-siblings! She’s in a great deal of trouble that only BIG money can really solve and Grayson is her best hope at safety. I found that I really like Violet and her narrative so much! She was optimistic and unique from the other FMC in this series! I liked her bravery and strength when circumstances got tough.
Grayson is definitely a monster who needed a muse! After a tragedy befalls an old student of his, Grayson can’t let go of the past and seeks justice. Though his intentions were nefarious to begin with, he can’t help his attraction to Violet. I absolutely loved how Grayson talked to Violet when they were on good terms and sometimes even when they weren’t. Grayson said the most beautiful things to Violet even when he was being so, so dirty!!! He’s obsessed and unhinged and I loved how I never knew what to expect from this man! He could be cruel and twisted but extremely generous, thoughtful, and sweet in the same breath. I was enthralled!
The chemistry between this couple was intense!! I was sweating at their spicy scenes together! This couple is passionate and I loved how Grayson was a patient and diligent teacher with our little Violet! That sunflower field… I want and need one after reading this book.
I loved Grayson’s creepy house and Violet’s room there! The lush imagery of all the plant life made my heart so happy! Hues of green and cream just offer me so much peace! I liked how this book is more creepy with the mystery subplot running through this one. That reveal at the end still has me heated!
A great bonus to this book was all the cameos from previous M&M characters! It wasn’t excessive but more like a lot catch up with our favorites. Loved those crumbs!
I definitely recommend this read! Thank you again to the author and Valentine PR for the advanced copy! It can be read as a standalone if you haven’t read the series though it is a bit more fun with the side characters that we’ve seen from the previous books.

This book has many explicit open door scenes. They are rather kinky so check the content warnings on that!
