Body Check starts with two strangers who are both nervous flyers who have careers that require them to travel quite a bit. For our billionaire boss babe, Auden Sinclair, she’s jet-setting to keep an eye on her many successful hotels. For our dirty talking grumbler, Hutch Hutchinson, he’s flying to his hockey games across the country. This unlikely pair has an instant chemistry that will make you smirk from their first meeting. They end up on the same plant headed for Seatle that has to land unexpectedly because of weather conditions. Luckily, our characters meet again at a Sinclair hotel where they share a scorching night together never expecting to see each other again. Jokes on them, I won’t spoil how but this will not be their last meeting.
Hutch gets all the gold stars from me for that mouth! The banter in this book is perfect for these two characters who have such high chemistry. You can see how happy they make each other and I loved falling in love with them. I ate up all their little back-and-forth moments plus his Yankee’s hat! Don’t make me sad thinking about it!
I really loved this hockey team! I laughed at their group chat so much. I cannot wait for more from Lawsy, Locke, Fox, Keller, and Hayes AKA the Serpent Singles lol They are all a mess but I liked how they cared about Hutch. They may have annoyed grumpy Hutch but the bromance was strong! I can’t wait for more from them!
I loved this couple and was deeply affected by the hard choices both have to make in this book in order to make it work. I definitely recommend you give this one a read if you’re a fan of sports romance and romcoms! Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book for review!
