Don't Forget Me Tomorrow by A.L. Jackson

Blurb

When my best friend’s little sister walks in on me moaning her name, it’s all over. All restraints are shattered, and every boundary demolished. Nothing will be the same…

For years, I’ve tried to keep my distance from Dakota Cooper. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted and the one thing I can’t have.

But when she calls me in the middle of the night after someone tries to break into her house, I can no longer handle that distance, and I convince her to stay with me, along with her young son.

I should have known having her living under my roof would push me to the edge. Ignite the need that has simmered for so long.

The problem is, she’s forbidden. Off-limits. And I know better than crossing that line.
I can’t drag her into the dark secrets of my life.

But I can’t stay away from her either, so I do the one thing I shouldn’t—I take.
And now that I’ve had her, I’m not sure I can save her from who I am…

Overall Rating

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Don’t Forget Me Tomorrow was the best brother’s best friend and single mom romance that I’ve ever read! This woman does not miss!! The tears! Omgoodness I loved this book so much!

I absolutely adored both of these main characters! Dakota was so sweet, loving and such a good mom. I just admired her. Ryder was such a broken boy/tortured soul and his story was just everything for me I loved Kayden, Dakota’s son, so much too! He was just the cutest with Ryder! Every scene with Ryder and Kayden just melted my heart! Honestly, the way Ryder loved Dakota and the beautiful things he said and thought in his narrative about his “Cookie” made me fall for him hard! He was supportive of her dreams and you could tell that he truly cared for her from the first time we saw them together. Their moments on that tree limb and the magical way they seem to always find each other when they needed the other the most was beautiful! I call dibs on Ryder! He’s my favorite!

The romance was incredible! But the suspense subplot made this amazing read! I loved Dakota and Ryder’s story so, so much! There was never a dull moment between seeing how these two people grew up together, and fell for each other and pined for each other to the SPICE… Amy really pulled out all the hot stuff for this one! I ate this story up and I want seconds! I never wanted this story to end! I cannot wait to reread it! I was very emotional reading this one and the number of tears I spilled… The number of times I gasped… There are some heavier themes in this book relating to drug addiction, grief and body shaming and I feel that Jackson treated them with care.

I really feel that AL Jackson outdid herself with this story!! Don’t Forget Me Tomorrow is small town romantic suspense perfection and I highly recommend you give this one a read! It is book two in the Time River series but it can be read as a standalone. Though, I wouldn’t want you to miss out on Paisley & Caleb from Love Me Today! I recommend this series for any of my romantic suspense lovers! A very big thank you to Valentine PR and the author for a copy of this one for review!
